My only doubt is if it is going to smell bad in the future or have some troubles with hard water.
It also leaves the clothes softer than with the iron so now I am ironing almost everything except for the underwear and in half the time! I agree it is expensive but it is really worth it. I have discovered that it works even better when I hang the shirts in the door so I can use the door to helps me touching the clothes and better eliminate wrinkles!!!! It is very simple to use it, just touching the clothes with the steamer from top to bottom once and you have your ironing done. It gets rid of the wrinkles quickly!!! It is quick to be hot for steaming, it is small and easy to refill, just only with water. I work in a retail store and I saw a Jiffy steamer and works really good so I was wondering buy it for me. I wanted a steamer as my husband need to wear shirts to work and I am not really good ironing. A 6 year old could assemble this in 5 minutes or less and the quality is as good as it gets buy one-you will enjoy it for years to come!! The steam output is high and the only slight issue is when you steam the low end of an item as it approaches the floor, the steam diminishes output with the hose not angled upwards. ALSO, youc an steam your mattress or drapes or a tablecloth ON the table (rather that try and iron a vast amount of fabric on an ironing board with much dragging on the floor). Also, it is excellent for delicate fabrics that an iron can leave shiny or with a yellow tinge from excess heat. Why I never treated myself to one until now, I do not know, but I bought one for myself and also one for my mom who is an "ironer"! -I hate ironing, so this is great for me to knock out the wrinkles that bother me, but she still needs creases that an iron supplies (though, she, too likes it and is finding it useful-just somewhat of an adjustment for a 75 year old who irons everything!) Interestingly, this steamer CAN put some creases in once one becomes adept at using it. I had a client who had a Jiffy steamer and I used it happily for her many times. I love it! - Once again Overstock sold me a GR8 product at a GR8 price!!!! I think the metal head offers more heat and "pressing' action but I've not compared it to the plastic head - that's just my assumption. One fill of the water tank lasts for a long time and it stores very easily in a small area of my close. I am also able to get a nice crease on woven pants, dress pants, etc.
I just love having the ability to steam sweaters and t-shirts quickly and go! It's such a time saver for fleshing up folded garments before you walk out of the door. I've steamed various types of fabrics from knits to jeans.

HOWEVER, OVERALL I THINK THE J-2000 IS A GOOD STEAMER!!! 2) THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET TALK ABOUT OTHER MODELS AS OPPOSE TO THE ONE I PURCHASED. I MUST WATCH OUT FOR THE HOSE WHEN IN USE. I WAS UNAWARE AND ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED MY LEG WITH THE HOSE GLAD TO SAY, THE NEXT DAY I DID NOT HAVE A BURN AS I THOUGHT I WOULD.
I SAID TO MYSELF, "THIS MUST BE A SIGN," I SHOULD PURCHASE A JIFFY! I KNEW IF THE DEPARTMENT STORES DEPENDED ON THE JIFFY, CERTAINLY I WOULD TOO! I DID NOT GIVE THIS PRODUCT AN "EXCELLENT" RATING FOR TWO REASONS: 1) IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE J2000 THE HOSE GETS EXTREMELY HOT. PURCHASING A TAILOR MADE SUIT FOR MY HUSBAND AND WE SAW THE SALESMAN AT *********** USING A ******* STEAMER, SO I INQUIRED AND THE SALESMAN TOLD ME THAT THEY LOVED IT! THEN OFF TO ANOTHER CLOTHING STORE AND THEY HAD A JIFFY AS WELL. I LOVE THE J-2000 BEIGE GARMENT STEAMER!!! WE PURCHASED A "SWASH" BUT WAS QUIT DISAPPOINTED!!! SO WE RETURNED IT TO *****************! WE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED FOR A GOOD QUALITY STEAMER THAT WAS THE RIGHT PRICE AND FIT FOR THE SPACE IN OUR LAUNDRY ROOM, WHICH THE COLOR AND SIZE WERE PERFECT!!! THE J-2000 DOES A FABULOUS JOB REMOVING TOUGH WRINKLES.
